If there’s one thing the Great George Street side of the city is known for, it’s its ultra-cool, laid-back vibe that’s been attracting the more ‘hip’ city residents among us for quite some time now. Home to eclectic, of-the-era bars such as Assembly Underground, Belgrave and Nation of Shopkeepers, the Quarter’s tenants have set a precedent for all newcomers to follow, which three-year residents Pixel Bar well and truly understood.
Nabbing themselves a prime spot in the Northside of the city centre, close to both universities, Pixel Bar brings a new gaming experience for Leeds folk to enjoy, continuing the new ‘activity bar‘ theme that’s been sweeping the city of late.
Neighbouring some of the coolest hotspots in the city, Pixel Bar brings beloved games such as Pokemon and Mario to life in a unique way, with not only a space filled with video games, but themed cocktails that will have Pokemon fans thirsty to catch them all.
Soundtracked by some of the best pop-punk hits of our time, guests will be able to battle it out with friends, with console booths costing just £8 per group and a mega cheap cocktail happy hour ringing in at just two for £9.
Consisting of plenty of consoles, guests can enjoy the likes of PS5, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch, alongside a number of free-to-play arcade cabinets dotted around the venue.
If that wasn’t all, Pixel Bar has also teamed up with beloved Northern burger joint Almost Famous, who are on hand whipping up some of the juiciest burgers around. Think saucy burgers loaded with bacon, waffle fries, frazzled and more, alongside vegan and veggie burgers for the non-meat-eaters among us.
Pixel Bar can be found at 25 Great George St, Leeds LS1 3AL.
