Crepe City, the leading trainer event in Europe, will be making its return to Newcastle, and we’re ready to jump in the car and head on up! The event, which will be held at Utilita Arena, on Saturday, September 9, will bring with it the best traders and resellers from across the UK who will be showcasing some of the rarest and most in-demand sneakers in the world, giving trainer-fiends the chance to see, feel and purchase a fresh set of crepes (or two, or three…). With the shoe-filled festival now only days away, time is running out to snap up tickets so be sure to get yours now before it’s too late.
Crepe City, which has had huge success here in cities, such as London, Manchester, and Glasgow, will do more than just display these trainers – the venue will have a festival-style vibe, with Nova hosting who will be on-site running games and giveaways on stage through the course of the day. You’ll also be able to flit between outdoor street food stalls, the bar, and plenty of live DJ sets and more.
Crepe City was founded by Ronal Raichura in London back in 2009 as the first event where people who like sneakers could meet up, socialise and trade in the rarest and most desirable trainers. It has since grown into Europe’s largest pop-up sneaker shop and lifestyle festival, hosted in various cities, with thousands of hard-to-find shoes on sale. This year StockX is even on board, so if you want verification checks for your new purchases their authentication team will be on site offering the service free of charge.
In between scouring the stalls for your newest set of crepes, you can enter competitions and feast on varied street food. There’ll be live performances and some of Newcastle’s best DJs playing throughout the day, plus there’ll be a bar to quench your thirst.
