In the spirit of the recent release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Candlelight series invites fans to enjoy a spectacular tribute to the franchise’s distinctive music. Revist a world according to ancient tales inspired by the melodies that have defined one of the most popular games in history.
This one-of-a-kind performance is set to take place at Left Bank—a breathtaking, Grade II* listed, former church building in Leeds. A solo pianist will take you through every challenging saga, victory, and loss you experienced across the Hyrulian landscape surrounded by the glow of candlelight.
Candlelight: The Best of Zelda at Left Bank
The Legend of Zelda has become a gaming fan favourite since it was released in 1986. Its release marked a significant change in the history of video games thanks to its new features which included the save function and the ability for players to explore the world in which they were playing freely. As well as boasting impressive visuals and a gripping storyline, The Legend of Zelda is known for its emotional and light-hearted music, and epic themes.
On July 21, a pianist is taking to the stage at Left Bank to reimagine some of the music Zelda fans are all too familiar with. You can expect to be captivated by the game’s title theme, medleys from The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, “Prelude of Majora’s Mask”, and so much more at this unqiue tribute. Sit back and relax as a talented musician proves the true power of music in the world of gaming.
Prepare for something extraordinary at Left Bank as you musically navigate Link’s adventure in Hyrule. What’s more, two performances are taking place on the evening, at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm, allowing you to pick a concert that suits your schedule best.
Whether you prefer going on your own, with a date, friend or loved one, you’re sure to be enchanted by the bright sea of candles.
Note: For the safety of our audience, all of the candlelight will be provided through flameless candles.
